How to Apply Face Toner Properly

How to Apply Face Toner Properly

To spritz or not to spritz, that is the question.

There are a number of ways to apply facial toner after cleansing; however, the best method to give your skin a super clean feeling is by using a cotton ball, pad or cloth to distribute product. I used to be a spritzer girl in the past, mind you, but I learned the following skincare secret and never looked back...

While misting the skin may be fun, cooling and convenient for a hydration spray [which is a completely different product all together] toning is an important step in your skincare regimen, and products designed for its job deserve a fair chance to work.

It's important to know that toners are designed to wipe away residue leftover after washing your face. Things like chemicals, salts and chlorines from tap water can still reside on your skin and dehydrate it. By only spritzing your toner, and not wiping it off, you will not remove all of the residue.

That's why it's crucial to apply toner with a cotton ball, pad, or cloth. Always use a product formulated for your skin type. Follow up with an eye cream, antioxidant serum, moisturizer with sun protection and a hydration spray whenever your skin could use some light refreshment throughout the day.

What toner do you use? How do you feel about swiping toner versus spritzing it?

My San San BB Cream Review

My San San BB Cream Review

"Get the coverage that you need without the heavy feeling!"

BB cream had been my best friend for several years already!
I've been an avid user even before BB creams became fad here in the Philippines.
I've tried different brands from asian, western
and now finally a local brand I am very much excited to share with you!

Here's a BB cream suited for our country's weather and Filipinas' skin.
It's called SAN SAN BB cream from HBC.

My thoughts:

PROS:
-Hygienic and travel-friendly packaging
-Affordable and Locally available
-It has a good coverage that can cover some skin imperfections.
-It can also even out broken capillaries on my cheeks. Great coverage for a BB cream!
-Light weight and easy to blend out using finger palms or face brushes
-Not too matte and has that dewy finish which does not flatten the face
-Protects you from the sun with it's SPF 43
-Contains vitamins A, C and E which nourishes the skin
-I also noticed that the BB cream has a skin-adjusting tone feature by trying it out on myself and some of my friends which have different skin colors.
-Sits on skin very well and doesn't oil up for hours.
-Stays put for a decent number of hours. Setting this with powder will help.

CONS:
-None other than requesting a shade lighter than this which I know they're already trying to work out.
This will be my kikay problem when I get back to my natural fair skin color again.
Well, I just recently got my tan this summer oh yeah!
Btw, posted photos of my hand are taken days before I got darker.
So yeah you can see a little glimpse of unmatched color there.
